ROTAX RACING CLUB

About
Rotax Racing Club.

A global community. A shared passion for racing.

What is Rotax Racing Club?

Serious racing. No kart ownership required. Rotax Racing Club brings high-performance, two-stroke arrive-and-drive karting to a worldwide community of drivers.

Clubs provide prepared Rotax-powered karts, giving racers the chance to develop their skills and compete without owning, transporting or maintaining their own equipment. The emphasis is on close competition, racecraft and a shared passion for the sport.

The RRC Finals and Team Trophy bring drivers from official clubs and selected qualifying championships together on an international stage.

About the organisers: Club100

Club100 began in 1993 with six sprint events at Buckmore Park in Kent and a simple idea: make competitive two-stroke kart racing accessible on a true arrive-and-drive basis. The series grew into a national programme, giving drivers serious competition without the demands of kart ownership.

John Vigor, known throughout the paddock as “JV”, helped shape that growth and later acquired the business. In 2001, Imperial College student Will Tew began racing with Club100 and proposed a university championship using its karts. That idea became the British Universities Karting Championship (BUKC).

JV and Will formally joined forces in 2017, bringing BUKC into the Club100 business. Junior and Cadet championships opened the door to younger drivers, while the move to Rotax Junior MAX engines in 2019 marked another important step in the fleet’s development.

Club100 became the official Rotax Racing Club UK in 2026 and, working with Rotax, hosted the inaugural RRC Finals and Team Trophy at Silverstone. The team continues to build on more than three decades of experience, bringing drivers together through accessible, competitive racing.
